Halloween with Kids in London 2020

You’ll find a whole heap of stuff to do this Halloween with kids in London. Below are some of our carefully selected highlights, including...

  • Where to pick your own pumpkins
  • Where to have a Halloween rave-up with the whole family
  • And where to find the spookier side of nature

Pumpkin Picking

Pick-your-own pumpkin patches are all across Greater London and surrounding areas, offering superb days out for those wanting to do something this Halloween with kids. Here are our top picks: Stanhill Farm in Kent (but easy to reach from the capital) boasts a brilliant pumpkin patch. For the last five years, they’ve been growing pumpkins for the public to come and pick, before taking home their pickings to carve into ghoulish faces back home. Grab a wheelbarrow and get picking. October at Crockford Bridge Farm sees two weekends of pumpkin picking: the weekend of the 3rd and 4th October, and the weekend of the 10th and 11th. Bring cash to pay for the pumpkins you pick. In addition, the farm hosts a Pumpkin Festival between 25th October and the 31st. You’ll find plenty of plucky pumpkins on display, pumpkin carving and tons more activities. Halloween Raves with Big Fish Little Fish

Family rave promoters Big Fish Little Fish are putting on two London dates this Halloween. Designed for parents and kids between 0 and 8 years old, these daytime events offer a great opportunity for dancing, partying, crafting, getting dressed up and celebrating Halloween with kids. Parties boast a number of separate rooms with DJs spinning techno, house and drum ’n’ bass at kid-appropriate volumes. With the dance floors decked out in spooky regalia, bubbles, glitter and balloons, they are wonderlands of play, music and dance. Expect to find craft areas for the kids and craft beer for the adults. Fancy dress is optional, and there’ll be pro face painters on-site if your previously reluctant kid decides they want to be a pumpkin after all.
